2. Description of Service

IceAlert is a community-driven alert system that allows users to anonymously report and receive notifications about activity in their area. The App displays approximate locations (within ~30-65ft) of user-submitted reports on a map interface.

Key characteristics of the service:

• Reports are displayed for approximately 30 minutes
• All report data is automatically deleted after 1 hour
• Locations are intentionally approximate to protect privacy
• No user accounts or personal information is required

3. User Responsibilities

By using IceAlert, you agree to:

• Accurate Reporting: Only submit reports of genuine activity you have personally witnessed. False or misleading reports undermine community trust and the effectiveness of the service.
• No Malicious Use: Not use the App to harass, target, stalk, or harm any individual, group, or organization.
• No Spam: Not submit excessive, repeated, or automated reports.
• Lawful Use: Use the App in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Age Requirement: Be at least 13 years of age to use this application.

4. Privacy & Data Collection

Your privacy is fundamental to our service. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details. Key points:

• We NEVER store your exact location—all coordinates are offset by 30-65ft
• We NEVER collect personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
• We NEVER log IP addresses
• All report data is automatically and permanently deleted after 1 hour
• Device identifiers are cryptographically hashed and cannot identify you

• No Verification: We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-submitted reports. Reports may be inaccurate, outdated, or false.
• No Guarantee: The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• User Judgment: You are solely responsible for your own safety decisions. Always exercise your own judgment and take appropriate precautions.
• Not Legal Advice: Any legal information provided in the App is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
• Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The App may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or other factors.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IceAlert and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the App

• Sin Uso Malicioso: No usar la App para acosar, atacar, acechar o dañar a ningún individuo, grupo u organización.

4. Privacidad y Recopilación de Datos

• NUNCA almacenamos tu ubicación exacta—todas las coordenadas se desplazan 10-20m
